Generational Replacement Impact Simulator
Explore how Total Fertility Rate trajectories influence long-term generational stability. Adjust the TFR slider or select a country benchmark to see projected outcomes.
*The chart displays the long-term generational change in population size based purely on the selected TFR, assuming a constant age structure.

How It Works
This tool estimates intergenerational fertility change by comparing your friend’s number of children to the size of the family they grew up in. The “parents’ generation” figure is calculated as siblings + 1 (i.e. the total children their parents had). The difference reveals whether fertility is rising, stable, or declining across your social circle.
This is an informal comparison tool, not a demographic model. It works best with 10 or more entries and is most meaningful when you include a mix of friends from different backgrounds.
